Curriculum Facilitators Training (for youth development staff, program managers, teachers, etc. who want to facilitate the curriculum with youth)

7-10 MYL Training.pdf — PDF document, 233Kb

You are invited to a training for youth development organizations interested in implementing a leadership curriculum module for diverse older youth.

The Multicultural Youth Leadership Curriculum module increases knowledge of culture, self-awareness, and leadership skills among youth participants in a way that honors their respective communities.  This curriculum module is designed to be added on to your programs’ existing youth leadership curriculum, or carried out on its own with youth already knowledgeable about leadership.  In an age-appropriate way, youth ages 14-18 will begin to understand the complex ways culture, power, communication, and leadership intersect.

In this training, you will experience the curriculum first-hand, discuss the implications of using this curriculum with youth, and brainstorm ways to incorporate it into your program.

Training Pre-requisites: Training participants should have previous facilitation experience with youth. Please note, this curriculum was designed to be used with youth who have previous leadership experience and is meant to supplement another youth leadership curriculum or program.

Registration: $30, includes coffee, snacks & lunch, full day of training, and a copy of the curriculum. Click here to register.
